Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our team is at the forefront of analytics for Reinsurance spanning the entire breadth of our business. We build analytical products that focus on everything from Contract Wording to Natural Catastrophes, enabling the company to accurately manage our risks.

Joining us, you will learn the technologies that are used in modern data solutions with a focus on cloud technologies and distributed systems, but also gain experience in the application of big data techniques to solve complex problems on real data, in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices.

A regular day with us:
-Build impactful analytical solutions end-to-end, from data sourcing to visualization
-Dive into business problems to identify the data that solves it
-Ensure the reliability, quality, and optimal performance of our data products

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

If you possess traits and experience that match most of the below, we’d love to hear from you:

-University degree or equivalent experience in a technical role
-Good engineering skills and knowledge of at least one programming language (Python preferred)
-Good understanding of the data modelling principles
-Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle

Nice to have:

-Knowledge of advanced analytics (i.e. Machine Learning, Statistics)
-Experience with big data (i.e. Spark)
