Payroll Manager with German (m/f)

Responsibilities:

As the Payroll Manager (m/f), you will play a pivotal role in building and leading our new team of Payroll Specialists. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing the payroll team from the ground up.
  • Designing and implementing efficient processes and procedures for payroll services, ensuring accuracy and compliance for external clients.
  • Developing comprehensive payroll policies, practices, and controls, while monitoring compliance with country regulations to meet tax obligations.
  • Acting as an external consultant, providing expert guidance and support on payroll matters to clients, particularly those from German-speaking countries.
  • Engaging in projects with external clients, collaborating closely with other consultants and experts within the company, both locally and internationally.
  • Maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • 5+ years of experience in internal or external payroll roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and problem-solving proactively.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level) and German (C1 level), with excellent communication skills.
  • Client-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.
  • A positive attitude, with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards shared goals.
  • Experience with leading and building a new team is advantageous.
  • Experience working with clients from German-speaking countries is advantageous.
